Job Description of a Project Manager/Estimator

We are looking for a Project manager / estimator who not only prepares and sends detailed estimates for projects but when we are awarded the project, will also be the project manager.

As an estimator the key responsibilities are prepare and send thorough estimates including receiving the bid invitation and downloading digital blue prints, using estimating software to develop a cost estimate, request vendor and subcontractor pricing, typing and emailing the bid proposal, adjusting for addendums, attending scope meetings, and calling/emailing general contractors and architects with questions.

As a project manager the key responsibilities are ensure there are no safety shortcuts on your projects, internal job setup forms, submittals, ordering material, working closely with our superintendent and job foreman on site to ensure great field performance, project documentation, attending meetings, tracking job costs and budgets, building long term relationships with our customers and vendors, attend customer and vendor events.

Attention to detail is very important when estimating
Experience as a construction estimator and project manager is not required. The persons knowledge of construction is less important than their ability to learn quickly and be a good fit for the job and our culture in order to succeed in this role and have a fulfilling career for themselves to enjoy coming to work.
